About Carmel
Carmel was born in 1964. She is married to Federal Labor MP and Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, Anthony Albanese. She has one son, Nathan.
Carmel studied at Sydney University and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor of Economics, majoring in Economics and Industrial Relations.
Her areas of personal interest include social justice, local government, children's and young peoples' services, and the environment.
